Inter School Competition

On 24th of August Shar Matafeo from room19 went with Mr. Naidoo, Logan and Renei to Papakura Central School to represent Kelvin Road School at the Inter School Finals.

When we got there the Principal of their school put us in the order we were to speak in.

There were many other schools there as well like Drury School, Papakura Normal School and alo more.

Many speeches were good and some were not so good.

So at the end of all the speeches the Judges had to find out the winners

Congrats to Shar for coming 2nd and hopefully 1st next year.

The Kelvin School Speech Competition

A few days ago Kelvin Road School had their speech finals in the hall at 10:30am.

there were many top speakers in the finals like Ariana Hakui, Logan Hays and myself

the competition was a great and hard one. everyone gave it their best shot and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd people were the following :

The Kelvin School Soccer World Cup

This years kelvin road school soccer world cup was proprely the most hardest tourment i myself have ever played most of my hights were we rm19 beating all the teams but one rm18 the next hardest in line would have to be rm16 they almost beat us but our team work and skill out beat them. at the end we came 2nd and rm18 came 1st after we lost two times and draw once.............

How To Write a Speech

1.you MUST always start with A strong and powerful introduction like:
Phones, ipods, fax, computers and laptop. All of these are examples of technology BUT what do they all have in common? They all help to improve our learning. Good morning my name is Shar and I am going to convince you that technology really does improve learning.
2.that is one way to go about on it and secondly you state all your reasons that you point is right like: Firstly technology allows you to learn faster because you can learn where ever you are at every time. Secondly technology can help kids keep up with the ever so changing world. Thirdly if you use a computer at home you will never have to get up at 7:30am every I mean every walls and a pencil. And fifthly teachers can use technology to motivate not only students but also adults to do work in class or in AUT. Technology also provides kids with the most advanced learning system to help them that much more in life.
3.finally you must end if a stronger conclusion like this:. I have given you valued facts and indisputable reasons as to how technology improves learning therefore you can only arrive at one conclusion which is that ) technology really does improve learning.
